2020 was a big year in the planning for most people and companies including luxury furniture brands such as afulltable.com who had their new collections set to be revealed during Salone Del Mobile in April 2020. Unfortunately with the pandemic, most companies had to change the direction pf their plans. Some decided to show their products through virtual events and others simply through announcements and creative videos.
Fendi Casa usually are discrete when it comes to showing their collection but nevertheless presented a gorgeous and maybe the most fun collection to date. Their setups revolved mainly around bold colors. They got creative with their movable pieces such as the coffee tables and added different finishes patterns and colors to already existing designs in addition to new ones.
The new collection included new and facelifted existing products. The start where the Anya Lite tables in all the various colors, and the Kelly and Kelly Bracelet where they created armchairs, sofas, and beds from the same line. My personal favorite is the Lambert sofa (with the luxurious marble inserts) and pouf.
When I think of the future, I can’t help but remember how we imagined it to be back in the Eighties. Everything we thought would remain science fiction became part of our present. Touch screens, mobile phones, laser printers, carbon fiber, etc.. were all just part of movies and our imagination. Now we know, nothing is impossible and we also realized that the present and future will not be the same without going back to nature. For a couple of decades now minimalism was prevailing with the rise of technology, but not anymore. New trends have been emerging in the past few years and some are about to stay around for a while while others are perishing, visit this website and get all the details.
As recent interior design trends have been focusing on the operator rather than the consumer, this has created a great shift in all things design.
Workspaces, for example, are now focused on the employee rather than on the visitor or consumer. This innovative idea has been brought forth by firms such as Google, Facebook, Leo Burnett, Deloitte & Touche, Cisco, and many others. Numerous studies have suggested that a healthy and comfortable work environment produces better productivity, this may not always be true but has been an eye opening approach for many. These firms have come up with ideas we once though of as crazy, such as having pool tables, a gym, cafes, napping zones all at the company’s premises. With this in mind, the human is now the focus of all present and future trends. Focus now is on well being, healthy lifestyle, and communication.
As a result, new design trends emerged and were made possible with the use of materials that are more human and environment friendly.
Design trends that are here to stay:
1- Bringing Nature inside, and almost every other trending material is there to compliment this one. Greenery and nature are everywhere now, restaurants and cafes, entrances, airports, homes, etc.. no space is complete without greenery anymore. It is not a surprise that Pantone’s 2017 color of the year was Greenery! From fake to natural, green is everywhere and here to stay. Integration of nature and natural elements in our spaces and through our architecture has become a requirement now. This is why we are opting more and more for large windows and focusing more on the view. It might be a psychological attempt to replace the damage that has been done to our environment in the past decades.
At Maison & Objet last January, Fendi Casa, among other luxurious brands, presented their latest collection and finishes for 2015. During each fair they add a few new elements or elaborate on existing pieces that were released in the recent years. You will notice velvets, dark colors, and metallic finishes as the most prevalent trend this year. Fendi Casa captured it perfectly.
Once again, FENDI CASA presents an unbelievable collection with an outstanding and lavish setting. The new collection is like none of the previous ones, with a focus on brass details, curved edges, exquisite materials, and a really wide variety of newly introduced pieces. it is uncommon for such luxury brands to launch such a large number of newly designed furniture during one fair. Thierry Lemaire’s influence in the collection has been mainly in the sculptural elements, such as the Artu seating shown above and the Star dining table shown in other photos.
Fendi Casa have had several iconic and ultimately luxurious projects in areas such as Miami and New York not to mention the private jets and yachts. All their interiors are fully furnished with Fendi Casa furniture, accessories (mirrors, vases, piano, etc..) , and lighting. so anything, even the shelving in these images, are by Fendi Casa. The photos practically speak for themselves. All of the shown items can be ordered through any Fendi Casa dealer. In Kuwait the brand is represented by Design Circle +965 22255205/6.
2013 was a big year in the furniture industry, nevertheless in the luxury sector. I was really impressed with top brands coming up with so many new pieces and trends. Fendi Casa was no exception, and to be honest, I think they were the brand with the most number of newly introduced and launched items. They released sofas, cabinets, beds, lighting, high end chandeliers, and accessories, in addition to new details and fabrics. Their tables were out of this world, I think I need a separate post for that! Here I will just post a few of the items that caught my attention in terms of detail, design, and finish. In the photo above is the magnificent Soho sofa which is shown here as a sectional. Very modern, yet the details reveal quite an eye for luxury finishing. If you want to see it in person they have one at Design Circle in Tilal Mall, Kuwait.
