After several requests, I thought I would share with you the latest images from Fendi Casa for their 2017 collection as presented in Milan last April. As it is obvious, velvet is still the major element prevailing this years fashion whether in home collections or ready to wear.
Just after Apple collaborated with Hermes on their smart watch, now Louis Vuitton came up with its own version of a luxury smart watch, the Tambour Horizon in partnership with Google and Qualcomm. This watch was designed to serve the world traveler—Vuitton’s core customer. The watch costs anywhere from $2,450 to $2,900.
With the Tambour Horizon you can select the digital face you want. It has 30 easily interchangeable straps for men and women, it notifies you of calls, texts, and emails; has an alarm, a step counter, indicates the weather, in addition to time.
The great news is for customers living in China, currently they have to buy 2 different watches when they travel, with the LV watch they will only have to buy one as it operates on both world and Chinese systems.
Would you consider buying it?
As they say, nothing is impossible in Dubai. When you thought it was all about the desert and the heat, they created skiing slopes, something I would have never imagined there. Overlooking the slopes is the 5 star luxury Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates. The hotel even has chalets that are so cozy and warm, fit for a skiing lodge. The hotel has almost 400 rooms including 20 chalets with fireplaces that will allow you to feel as if you were in Switzerland. All rooms are well equipped with the state of the art technology.
Living in the Gulf for the past 8 years, I noticed that people refrain as much as possible from using wood and other warm materials, that is all due to the hot climate. With the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates it is different. At this hotel you get to experience what it would be like to live in a cool climate, the use of stone & solid wood interprets this coziness perfectly. The marble however, gives the rooms and restaurants the lavish and luxurious feel Dubai is known for.
I will leave you to enjoy the photos of this lovely hotel (slideshow) and a link to the hotel website in case you want to check out more details.

Fine food, fragrances, flowers, and literature come together under an eclectic two-story house designed by Norwegian architect Alejandro Christophesen in 1927 known now as Casa Cavia. Casa Cavia is a new concept in Buenos Aires and the brainchild of creative force Guadalupe Garcia Mosqueda updated by design firm KallosTurin.
The result portrays the design firm’s affinity for sleek & clean lines. A grey palette takes over enhanced by a beautiful moss green, accentuated with marble, brass, & velvet.
If I were to design or live in a dream penthouse, this probably would be it. The lovely floor to ceiling windows and well -lit interior, gives it a dreamy and luxurious feel. The staircase is a beautiful series of bookshelves that add a special and unique character to the space. It is known as the Sky Garage Penthouse due to the fact that you have an en suite car garage with doors from the best garage door company in Vancouver, how convenient!
Marcel Wanders creates a state-of-the-art clock for Christofle. Joining meticulous design and fine mechanical skills, this item sets a new standard in the manufacture of luxury mechanical clocks.
Oversized proportions, complex etching work and noble materials set the pace. Available in an exclusive edition of 50, the owner can customize the three internal clocks to time different cities across the globe; anywhere from Tokyo to Paris to Miami.
Preciousness, sensuality and poetry distinguish the silversmith’s work. As part of the Jardin d’ Eden silverware collection, the nature-inspired silver etchings are lovingly executed. This clock carries the family’s iconic pattern signature; interlaced leaves, curled lys flowers and decorative apples against a geometric matrix reminiscent of the lush garden. Marcel’s sustainability strategy comes across in his high standard design; this is a timeless luxurious item to always hold on to.
