Located in one of Lebanon’s hottest area, Add Mind have just opened up a new open air nightclub replacing the famous White, one of the most popular nightlife venues in the past few years. The management for the new restaurant/lounge hired .PSLAB to come up with a hip and creative custom lighting design for the rooftop club, and so they did.

The space is narrow and thus .PSLAB decided to create a dynamic aspect to that linearity defined by the v-shape installation of the lighting fixtures. The significance of the revealed bulbs added warmth to the open-air space.

The lighting fixtures were designed in tree complementary designs depending on the space or areas they are located in.

Marcel Wanders Designs Suitcases

If you are a follower of this blog you will know how much I love Marcel Wanders work, if it were up to me I’d post about every single item he designs. This time the world renowned designer has designed a collection of suitcases for  luggage and bag company Fabbricapelleteriemilano. The collection is called: ‘Saint-Jacques.

Each of the suitcases comes with a TSA combination lock and handles designed to provide easier means of toting the bags around.

The interiors are organized to allow for the optimal placement of one’s belongings, while the exterior of the suitcase is covered in wanders’ signature pattern with zipper pulls that recall the ironic face of the designer.

‘I think the style conscious people will love the colors, the contrasts and the interior in bright colors,
while those who are attracted by the multi-sensory will appreciate the three-dimensional embossed surface (…).’ – marcel wanders

The suitcases are available in quick silver, jet black or space blue colors.

Exclusive: Inside Roche Bobois Kuwait | Part 2

Roche Bobois to many means the stylish modern and fresh contemporary furniture brand, to others its their favorite provincial style  furniture with charm written all over it. Both styles have allowed it to become one of the most popular furniture brands worldwide appealing to a very large number of tastes. In a previous post I included photos of their contemporary collection showroom here in Kuwait, in this one you see exclusive photos of Roche Bobois’ Provincial showroom located adjacent to the first one, also at 7 Zones in Shoueikh.

“Provincial” is a description which means items pertaining to the Provence of France, designers there are known for their intricate details and rustic finishes. The woodwork is mostly handmade in the Provence by craftsmen known for their skills for ages. The introduction of bright colors to many of their signature pieces gives the classic designs a twist and distinct appeal.

Roche Bobois accessories are a world of their own, some are not part of our daily lives anymore yet look wonderful within the setting they are intended for.

Blackbird Carbon Fiber Guitar | Instruments

As soon as I saw this I feel in love with it and regretted never continuing my guitar lessons. This is such a  wonderful instrument, the materials used is amazing. According to Blackbird, The Blackbird Rider features an all-hollow uni-body shell setting it apart from any guitar in the world. That is the body, neck, and head are cast in one-piece with the sound board, fretboard, tuners, etc. added to that main component. Forming the main component in one-piece eliminates the weak and sound-absorbing joints associated with standard guitars. This patent-pending construction relies on the incredibly strong and stiff properties of carbon fiber as well as plenty of unique design features to create the strongest, most resonant small-bodied guitar available anywhere.
