Zaha Hadid To Design ME by Melia in Dubai | Architecture

Back in 2007, it was announced the Zaha Hadid Architects would be designing the Opus tower in Dubai. The construction of the Opus is currently in progress, however Zaha Hadid was asked to design the ME by melia hotel (the first in the Middle East) and service the apartments to be housed within the complex. It will include penthouse suites with private roof terraces and will be designed fully by Zaha Hadid, the interior & the exterior. The hotel is expected to operate in 2016.

Updated Renderings of The NBK Tower in Kuwait By Foster + Partners | Architecture

Foster + Partners designed the new National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) tower to be environmentally friendly, Gold LEED certified. The tower will be 300 meters high, the gross area is 120,000 sq.m. I was able to obtain the updated renderings of this tower located in the Sharq area in Kuwait.

Ber House In South Africa | Luxury Villa Design

This is what a masterpiece looks like, a wonderful display of horizontal volumes with an intricate diagonal playful effect in the façade.

House Ber, by Nico van der Meulen Architects and M Square Lifestyle Design,  is an indication of what happens when granite, steel, light and water come together. Situated in Midrand, House Ber presents itself as a sequence of irregular steel bars randomly placed creating patterned façades which initially were conceived to represent security but now have become the very feature which distinguishes this house from its surrounding.

Massive Graffiti Wall In Beirut | O1NE

O1NE is a club by Sky Management which will open this December near Biel. The facade of 2500 sq.m is being transformed to one of the largest privately owned grafitti murals in the world if not THE largest. Graffiti as an art is now one of the most loved arts in the Middle East, probably because it reprsents freedom of expression and thought, something we have been yearning for. 16 international artists are currently working on the project. Electric: The New Cultural Platform in Paris | Venue Design

Without knowing what the project is, the first impression is enough to wow you. This beautiful venue is a new cultural platform in Paris designed by award winning designer Mathieu Lehanneur. This space can be used around the clock for various functions all explained by the designer below. Since it's a multifunctional space, the designer unified the furniture which might not be used everytime.

Qatar To Build Energy Efficient Floating Hotels For The 2022 World Cup

Qatar is considering developing space saving and energy efficient floating hotels, luxury villas, and a water park off the coast of Doha called Oryx Island. The project will house the influx of visitors that will need accommodation during the 2022 World Cup Qatar will be hosting.

The island would be developed by Barwa Real Estate Co, a firm partly owned by the government, at a cost of $5.5 million. Finish architecture firm, Sigge Architects is partnering with Global Accommodation Management (GAM) to design the various facilities, which includes projects for a hotel and luxury villas that could house up to 25,000 people.

House in Jbeil, Lebanon By Raed Abillama Architects | Residential Design

Raëd Abillama Architects , a Lebanese architecture firm, built this beautiful house in Jbeil  overlooking the Mediterranean. The house itself contradicts with it’s area in terms of design yet compliments it beautifully through the stone used.

Zaha Hadid Designs The King Abdullah Financial District Metro Station In Riyadh | Architecture

 

It is all over the news now that Zaha Hadid Architects have been commissioned by the ArRiyadh Development Authority to construct the new King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) Metro Station in its capital city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

I don't really get the 'ship' idea but i am sure there is a valid reason. The interlacing structure and the lovely horizontally developed structure is her trademark and it's beautiful. This project should be realized by 2017 which is relatively little in time but apparently a condition set by the King personally.
