Hollywood’s blond sweet heart, Cameron Diaz, hired designer Kelly Wearstler to work on her Manhattan home. Diaz admits to loving a bit of sparkle in her space yet a very ‘homey’ environment. The design of her apartment had many vintage elements, luxury de Gournay wallpaper, in addition to Murano glass chandeliers and custom made furniture.
I found the kitchen too daring and strong with all the elements in it, the Ebony floors, brass backsplash, vintage looking cabinetry are extremely striking elements especially when put together, but Diaz likes the combination as it reminds her of a jewelry box.
A Pierre Chareau–designed lamp on a circa-1960 chest by Drexel in the living room; the fireplace screen is by Charles Edwards, and the painting is by Hunt Slonem.
The master bedroom is characterized by the luxurios gilded paper on the ceiling by de Gournay and of course using only the best, Diaz chose Frette bed sheets.
