If you are headed to Milan for the iSaloni or any other reason, you might want to consider visiting this beautiful bakery, Vyta, designed by Colli + Galliano Architects. The bakery started with one branch and now has four locations. The long concave/convex wood planks give an amazing character to the space in addition to the lovely Ripple Chairs from Moroso. The color contrast, the food display, & richness of materials used complement the concept well and give the bakery a gourmet image just as their products portray. During the winter season, the famous Café Artcurial got a revamp by interior designer Charles Zana. The most interesting features of this café are the skylight flooding the space with daylight and the lovely lighting fixtures acting like floating bubbles. The bold patterns on the walls portray a certain evolution in the design concept yet maintaining the historical background. The restaurant offers a menu with specialties and wines from every Italian province, particularly from Piedmont, all served under a glass roof, allowing a view of the elegant private garden.

This beautiful hotel is located in Austria, designed by Gogl Architekten has to be one of the most charming hotels I have ever come across. I loved the use of stone, matt steel, and raw wood. The combination is just amazing creating a beautiful rustic balance. Many of the items were custom made by the architects for the project. I will leave you with these beautiful photos that speak for themselves. Project was realized in 2012.

If I were to live in a ” single's” apartment, it would look exactly like this one designed by Boris Uborevich-Borovsky, Irina Selezneva, Oksana Lobanova, and Aleksey Antonov. It is 140 sq.m and located in Moscow. What I loved about it is the lovely application of a monochromatic palette, giving the space an illusion of being larger and very bright. The use of some of my favorite B&B Italia pieces such as the Papilio armchair in the bedroom and the Tufty composition sofa shown here in black. Also used in the apartment is a parquet flooring & Antonio Lupi bathroom fixtures.
This is proof that simplicity can be beautiful when well applied.
