The Dinner Club by No. 57 was a popular concept that started back in 2012 by Buthaina Al Mazrui & Alamira Noor Bani Hashim, based on the concept of ‘invitation only’ pop up restaurant/ event place. There was no particular location for those monthly events. Due to popularity of the concept, No.57 Cafe Boutique came to life. Located in Abu Dhabi and designed by Dubai based architects Anarchitect, the owners want to make sure to keep it the place alive and still have the secret dining room for special events.
Materials used were mainly the timeless Carrara marble, concrete, oak, and metal.

I admit having a soft spot for bakeries, when I saw the images of this project, I was drawn to the concept as a whole. The branding is just beautiful and simple, the food images are something else 🙂 This is a perfect example of how a hobby s when taken seriously flourishes into a well developed business, not missing out on any detail. Finland’s landmark Old Market located in Helsinki, just opened after renovation. Story is a restaurant located in the old market and designed by Joanna Laajisto Creative Studio. The place is blessed with high ceilings and a flood of natural light, which is perfect for a simple interior with focus on materials and colors. The interior blends in very well with old market themes but in a fresh approach that is very inviting.

Stereokitchen is a new 500 sq.m restaurant/ bar that opened in building in Pasteur st., Beirut, Lebanon. Designed by architect Paul Kaloustian, the main theme while designing was basing the layout around a perfect circle, this way the restaurant will make most of the breathtaking views surrounding the buildin, spacially that it is glass all around.
Materials used give a very neutral appearance, focusing on exposed concrete, wood, and light colored furniture, no drama was intended with this concept. Ceiling & lighting was designed by the famous Beirut based lighting company .PSLAB.

Tom Dixon is a designer whose name is becoming a household one more and more everyday. The charm and innovation in his designs and products have been shining through in the recent years. His work has been the center of attention at many fairs and in several publications in the near past. The Dock restaurant in London is not a new project, yet is one to check out. Open in 2009, and yet noticing the details in this space, you could immediately feel the creativity and avant garde approach, a style which only recently has become extremely popular.

Liza Asseily is an already popular Lebanese restaurateur in Paris, recently she opened ‘Liza a Beirut’, an upscale Mediterranan restaurant in the heart of Beirut, particularly in Ashrafieh. The restaurant is located in the second floor of the Abdallah Bustros Palace.This beautiful place explicitly shows the true nature of Beirut and its histrory, it was designed by Maria Ousseimi who commissioned the custom wallpaper to Arjumand. The old 10 Lira currency, is the most prominent wallcovering which I am sure will bring smiles to faces of people from my generation and older. This restaurant has been featured on popular design magazine websites such as Architectural Digest and Wallpaper*.
