Marcel Wanders creates a state-of-the-art clock for Christofle. Joining meticulous design and fine mechanical skills, this item sets a new standard in the manufacture of luxury mechanical clocks.
Oversized proportions, complex etching work and noble materials set the pace. Available in an exclusive edition of 50, the owner can customize the three internal clocks to time different cities across the globe; anywhere from Tokyo to Paris to Miami.
Preciousness, sensuality and poetry distinguish the silversmith’s work. As part of the Jardin d’ Eden silverware collection, the nature-inspired silver etchings are lovingly executed. This clock carries the family’s iconic pattern signature; interlaced leaves, curled lys flowers and decorative apples against a geometric matrix reminiscent of the lush garden. Marcel’s sustainability strategy comes across in his high standard design; this is a timeless luxurious item to always hold on to.

Furniture company Arper have finally put the Bowl chair by Italian-Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi into production for the first time since it was designed in 1951. they will only be making 500 chairs, I have no idea why they won’t go through a permanent line for this beautiful product.
Arper worked closely with the Instituto Lina Bo e P.M. Bardi to produce the chair, basing it on the only existing original prototype and Bo Bardi’s design sketches. The Italian furniture brand shares the designer’s mission to place the person at the centre of her projects, and her idea that ‘man is the ultimate objective of architecture’.
The significance of this chair is the fact that it doesn’t need any mechanism, it can achieve movement from all sides on its own and only due to its spherical form.
Part of the proceeds from the chair’s sale will be invested in the Instituto Lina Bo e P.M. Bardi’s social and cultural projects.

Departing from their well-known glass mosaics, luxury Italian design brand Bisazza has launched a new line of decorative ceramic wall tiles for their 2014 collection; a bold, brand new collection conceived and created by Marcel Wanders.
The tiles use Marcel’s signature hexagonal shape, and come in black or white diamond and flower forms that can be freely matched, transforming walls into tactile and asymmetrical artworks. Innovative and daring, Frozen Garden is ideal for all interiors.
To wit: “It only takes one crystal to grow a Frozen Garden. Plant one with loving care, and watch Frozen Garden unfold before your eyes. Organic and wild, glass and ceramic crystals transform walls into tactile and textured universes. Run wild in a garden of your own.”

Mainly known for his product design for popular brands, he has made use of his talent in intricate detailing exclusive to him in his interiors. One of the most remarkable designers with a very distinct style anyone can guess a space designed by Wanders just by spotting it. This project, the Mira Moon Hotel, is no exception. Every corner was well developed and thoroughly designed while using pieces of furniture & products designed by Wanders personally such as the lovely Tulip chairs shown above, the restaurant tables, chairs, lighting, tiles, and bathroom fixtures as well.
