Ever since Hermès announced they introduced a furniture line in addition to a fabric and wallpaper line by Dedar, designers and fashion enthusiasts everywhere have been waiting anxiously to see them first hand. Yesterday I got the chance to see and feel their latest fabric and wallpaper to be available in the market VERY soon, at very selective places. The following images are a sneak peak of the magnificent collection, though the feeling is not the same as seeing them in person. You will notice the typical vibrant Hermes colors and patterns, their signature “bookcase” theme found in both wallpaper and fabric and in different tonalities, in addition to beautiful panel designs with the elephant pattern, fabrics with the famous “H”, and the iconic Hermès pattern shown above. I was actually pretty surprised at how big their debut collection is, and impressed with the magnificent quality and textures they worked with. Their first concern was to work with high quality threads and at some instances even used real horse hair! I will leave you with these beautiful images, a million creative ideas are going through my head as to how to incorporate them in a home’s interior *sigh*, enjoy!

I am sure if Julia Roberts in “Pretty Woman” had this placemat, her life would have been easier. I totally think this is a great and smart illustration that would be fun if used by restaurants, it would save a lot of embarrassment and would be educational at the same time. Designed by llotllov, this placemat is a great way to teach table manners the easy way.

For the the 20th anniversary of the iconic Nevermind album of Nirvana,Fender® introduces one of its most distinctive signature models ever, the Kurt Cobain Jaguar®-meticulously modeled on the battered and highly unusual 1965 Jaguar that Cobain wielded during the heady early-’90s era when Nirvana ruled rock and led a musically stunning and culturally subversive movement.
Fender craftsmen have reproduced Cobain’s battle-hardened left-handed Jaguar down to the last unusual detail, including its worn finish, dual hum bucking pickups and unique electronics and controls (which were already in place when Kurt acquired the guitar in summer 1991).

A collection of wine glasses by the name of CALICI CARATTERIALI were designed by Gumdesign based on “personality” types. This collection includes seven wine glasses with human characteristics: the introvert, the extrovert, the passionate, the altruistic, the ambiguous, the conservative, the relaxed. These experimental glasses were created for the Abitami show during the Macef home show in Milan taking place from September 8- 11,2011.
These are probably the most creative glasses I have come across, which is your favorite?

If you are a shisha fan looking for a designer branded one, look no further. Porsche-Design has designed a luxury Shisha pipe (argeeleh) as part of their Porsche Design World Collection.
Porsche-Design have created a wide range of personal use items such as tea and soup sets, chopsticks, fashion wear , and the shisha pipe which is manufactured in Germany and made of modern materials such as stainless steel. It kind of reminded me of the one at Café Blanc.
“ The tube is made using TecFlex, which the brand also uses on the Porsche Design pen range.
The Shisha was launched at Porsche Design’s store within Harrods department store in Knightsbridge, London.”
